Man In Critical Condition After Shooting On Philly SEPTA Platform: Police

A 68-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot on a SEPTA platform in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Nov. 19, according to police.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting on the northbound platform of the Broad Street Line in the 500 block of South Broad Street at 11:49 p.m., the Philadelphia Police Department said in a news release.

The man was found suffering from a single gunshot wound to the stomach, according to police. He was taken to Jefferson Center City Hospital in critical condition.

One firearm was recovered by the Special Investigations Group and someone was arrested in connection to the shooting, police said.
